Cute Clay Charms

 

This week I was making clay charm again. It called Sculpture clay. I made : Pan with bacon+egg, cheese cake , Popsicle, hot dog and an avocado. They took around 10 mins to make and another 15 mins to bake. They were easy to make, just add details to the shape of the clay charm you made.

The last step is to spray the clay charm with a clear coat to make the shinny. And draw a cute face to it. Some turned out cute and some are ugly

This week I made a bunny from dry air clay in Room 13. It was cute but it's so easy to break.

The ears broke while I painted it but I used water to seal it again.

First I make 2 bunny ears and a circle . Sticked them together and the little charm between the ears.



I waited for it to dry and started painting it with white and pink ears . Drew little face and blush for it and I'm all set.
I sprayed a coat to make it stronger and hard to break a it.
I came home and get a strap to put it in as a keychain for my phone.

This week I was working on clay. Amy ordered clay so we all so excited to make something out of it.

Everyone now only focusing on making clay. It's so relaxing and cute.

I made a paper charm and a pencil charm. It wasn't that good because it's my first time making it and they were super small.

First, I get some air dry clay and make them as paper and pencil. I waited for it to dry in a day and started paint them with acrylic paints and decorated them. Drew little faces on them so they look cuter. They turned out OK but not really that good. They need to be smoother look and more neat designs. 

I put a strap into them so they will become a charm that I could use.

During this week, I was drawing person and animal. The first picture is an avatar of me in a game. I tried it to see how it's really look like with my artFirst, I drew it out with pencil and draw the important lines with black pen. Then I look at the shape of what the picture have and shaped it with pencil. Then I color the rest with the same as the avatar I wanted to draw.

 

This drawing is a black bear. The color was hard to color because the bear is black, If I color it too dark then we won't see the eyes. I color the bear with black pencil color and then use eraser for the color to faded.

Human Pyramid Art Installation

 This art is in Penn Station, New York.This art have been in Germany, San Francisco, the Beijing Olympic Park and the Vancouver Biennale. 

They don't really show the material of this art but I guess it made from Plastic and Bricks(maybe), Iron.

This Artwork has many color, Just like a rainbow with all colors. This art supposed to encourages people to stand inside and be a part of community, unite them together. Connecting together and build a stronger world.Yes, people do interact with it by standing together inside the artwork.I'm not sure about the materia;, maybe plastic?iron?A message of this art is that be strong together just like the art piece, they are high but still standing together to get that high. I chose this artwork because it's meaningful about people . In the U.S, people are not that close, some are racist , some don't care. This art want to tell us to be together no matter what color we are ( the rainbow color represents the skin colors). Maybe inside we're different but outside we're just human, we are the same animal.

Work for the Play

The play was happening this week and I was helping some stuffs like : Make the tongue for the big plant, roll the green strings for throwing after the show and with little things.

 About the tongue , I used a big white fabric and shaped it as a tongue and then cut it out as it fits the mouth of the plant.

The green strings I rolled were for the after the show , actors will throw it at people . It wasn't hard to roll it but sometimes it ran out of my hand and unroll all over . It was fun to do it , easy work.

Works for Little Shop of Horror

I don't have any picture because I forgot to take them and I didn't see any of them after all.
This week I was working on trading the Magazine picture into another paper and decorate it to look like the play is in a part of it .
I did help doing many stuffs but I didn't remember most of them. Mostly I helped doing decoration for the big plant that going to be in the stage later on. 

Woods alike painting

This week I was working on some parts for the play. I painted the box to be brown like wood color and designed the sign : 1313 and SALE.

The brown color was hard to make because I have to mix alot of color to make that color and paint the box. The next day I was working on writing 1313 and SALE on 2 boards for the play. I've been working on small things but I don't really remember them. 

"Todd has the signs and I don't know where are they. Can you take pics for me please?" 

Foam Leaves

This week I was making leaves for the play '' Little Shop of Horror''. I made 3 leaves and they are very big for stage 3 and 4 of the monster plant. It's even bigger than me. First, I get 3 big foams around 3''5 inches each and draw them as leaves. Start cutting them out with the sharpen knife. 

After they all set, I cut right in the middle and put the steel inside the leave for it to stand better. Hot glued them and wait them to dry.

After they been dried, my classmates started painting the leaves to be green as the plant and repeated with all the leaves. And we will give the leaves some details for them to be completely done.

Cardboard Hambuger and Fries

I was making a hambuger out of cardboard for my Art class project.

First, I will draw out the inside of an hambuger with pencil and start cutting them out.
I cut out parts are : Lecture, 2Onions, 2Breads, Beef. and Fries.

The beef I glued a small foam inside so it looks like a hambuger more.
 

After cutting them out. I painted them with acrylic paints.

Green as Lecture, White as onion. Brown as Beef and the cardboard color for breads.

I'm not yet done with the project and I have to make more of food out of cardboard . When I put them together , you can tell it's a hambuger with a side order fries. It needs more details and color so it looks more realistic.

Even though they are only cardboard, but the main thing is the mind of creativity making stuffs without any help, just with a topic

Handmade Cute Cat Squishy

 I wanted to make a squishy along time ago, but I don't really have any foam piece to make.

In room 13, I found a big piece of foam that Amy use to make the movie. I stole a small piece from it and cut it into a ice cream bit cat.
I painted it as grey , let it dry for a day and start to paint the details.



The cream, the cute face and the ear with a bitten ear. The foam was harden when the paint from the detail dried up. It wasn't that squishy but it was cute and nice to try new things. 

In the week. I also make a bunny face in the wood square with color pencils

Handwriting Cursive

                                                           Words Painting

I've been practicing writing in cursive since I was 7 years old. I took many classes in Viet Nam about writing. Everyone loves my handwriting and always try to do like mine but they can't. They admitted my handwriting is the best and I'm so proud of it.  

It called Calligraphy. However, I don't have any pen for it, just a normal pen or pencil and try to make it pretty. So I decided to try to paint the words in cursive.

I mixed the paint with water, so they could be more watery when I write out the letters. Then I drop colors in every letter, and they mixed.

Even though, My handwriting is good but as painting I think it's so horrible, I barely can paint in cursive because the paint brush was thick and hand to paint.

I tried to finish it and the result wasn't like what I expected. It was weird and ugly , not like the way I wrote in the paper. I can't control the thick and thin part of a letter . I was disappointed and don't think I would try to do it again.

I looked up google for a painting that I could try to paint with watercolor and acrylic paint about bunny. So I found out this one as cute bunnies in a moon and blue sky.

First, I painted the blue sky with watercolor and the cloud with white acrylic paint. Wait for both to dry took a day.

The next day, I painted a yellow moon in the sky with yellow stars, and write the sentence :" I love you from the Moon and back". 

Last, I draw 2 white bunnies next inside the moon with blush with face and wait for them to dry. I painted this as a painting for me to put in my bunny collection.

Handmade Bunny Book

Handmade Mini Bunny Book 

Came back from the Winter break, school actually feel so boring to me and my brain was empty. I went on youtube to find something to make and I found a link :

It shows you how to make a mini book with a sheet of paper .
First, you cut 4 paper , equal measurement, and start folding front and back . 

Then, glue them together and we got a string like picture 2 . I made a white cover and glue it to the pink string . I cut out the ears and decorated the front side like a bunny. The book is about half of your hand,  tiny and cute.

This can be a little gift to some one as you decorate it as an animal or something they like. I will start making cute animal books and collect them . Make them as a collection
